There are several crime prevention programs available to residents of all ages and businesses free of charge. Police Services encourages you to participate in these programs and help preserve the quality of life in Mission Viejo.
In the event of an emergency or to report a crime in progress dial 9-1-1. To report suspicious activity or to report that you have been a victim of a crime contact nonemergency dispatch at (949) 770-6011.
To contact the Crime Prevention Unit front desk dial (949) 470-8433. Volunteers operate this non-emergency desk line for general Police Services and program information. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. An answering machine is available in the event the volunteer is busy or for after-hours calls. Messages are answered within 24 business hours.
