Southern California Gas Co. is installing Advanced Meters in Mission Viejo and Neighboring Cities with new technology that will help customers better understand their energy usage. SoCalGas customers will soon be able to view their daily gas usage information online.
The new device only turns on for a fraction of a second a day – a total of less than two minutes a year – to securelyand safely send natural gas usage data from a customer’s home or business to SoCalGas customer centers. SoCalGas will make the usage information available for the customer to view online the next business day. SoCalGas customers who receive an advanced meter installation letter and would like to schedule an appointment should call 1-877-268-6211 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
